In 2010 and beyond, staying afloat in the super charged, fast paced publishing industry is going to be a different ball game altogether. Publishers can no longer sit back and assume that their e-strategies are complete merely by converting print to PDF. They need to understand customer behavior, consumer needs, habits and preferences, and leverage technology to constantly innovate to provide superior quality offerings that maximize the value of their content in the digital medium. Publishing, as we know is rapidly evolving, and ‘plain eBooks’ were just the beginning.

It is time to focus on the next generation of eBooks and ‘what we need to do next’! In the future, eBooks will see even more innovation and evolution. It will include rich media, animation, collaboration, social networking, learning tools, and much more. In this presentation, we will look at some of the trends that we are seeing within the eBook industry as publishers push the envelope to the next generation of eBooks. We will look at how publishers are successfully managing change and the success that comes through constant innovation.
